About Us
With
movement, you'll move forward to accomplish your goals. Carolyn
Nyland leads Educational Kinesiology tutoring sessions. Carolyn
is a certified Brain Gym® instructor/ consultants and leads
101 classes as well as teacher inservice courses to share movements
which stimulate brain function.
Carolyn's
rich history in education makes her great with children and
adults--people of any age. In 2004, Carolyn and daughter Heidi
traveled to Poland to study reflexes (the basis of Brain Gym
movements) with Dr. Harald Blomberg
(of Sweden). Then in 2007, the Nylands studied with Claire Hocking, learning more about reflexes at a class in South Africa.
Through
her work abroad and her 30+ years in the classroom, Nyland has
learned to work with children with many "labels"--
helping them make choices and grow toward any educational goal.

Heidi
Nyland, MS, is a licensed teacher, NARHA therapeutic riding instructor and Brain
Gym® consultant. She is also a photographer, journalist and
designer through her Whole
Picture work--specializing in education and equine publications.
Her work can be seen in Western Horseman, Equestrian Retailer,
Equine Veterinary Management and Trail Rider. She is
an author of Western
Horseman Legends VI and photographer for The
Revolution in Horsemanship.
Heidi
works with 4-H groups and other riding clubs to teach how your
stress level, posture and position affects your horse--and how
you can choose to make a difference. Understanding reflex work
(movements that are automatic response during stress) and emphasizing
calm, cooperative riding makes Heidi's work with riders stand
apart. She has presented Brain Gym® and riding seminars at
Equine Affaire and at the American Youth Horse Council National
Symposium. She currently produces Julie Goodnight's TV show on RFD, Horse Master with Julie Goodnight.
